Introducing Wet Hop Harvest Ale 2.0, the 39th release in our limited run 174 Taproom Series.
We got the call on a Friday morning in late August that the hops were ready and in true Broadhead fashion the team sprang into action. Jon and Reid from our brew crew packed the car and headed up to Pleasant Valley Hops – Ontario Grown in Hillier Ontario to grab those hops at their freshest. Our Brewmaster Mark sacrificed a Saturday to ensure the hops made it from vine to vessel in less than 24hrs. Made with (almost) double the amount of freshly harvested cascade hops than last years version, this beauty is truly worth the trouble.
Wet Hop Harvest Ale 2.0 pours a beautiful dark amber with a full head of frothy tan foam, while offering floral, citrus, pine and grapefruit aromas with a solid dose of caramelly malts to round it out. On the pallet you’ll find a healthy amount of citrusy fruit, grass and pine balanced by a solid hop presence that’s complimented nicely by rich caramel and bready malt notes. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, with a lingering finish and slight warming alcohol heat, this is the quintessential fall sipper.
Available now at the brewery, for free next day Ottawa wide delivery or $10 flat rate shipping anywhere in Ontario.
