Broadhead & HogsBack – sounds like a winning combination.

We’re all about good beer at the Broadhead Brewing Company, especially when that beer is local. That’s why we’re so excited to announce that we’re teaming up with the good folks at another local brewing company – HogsBack.  Broadhead will be making HogBack’s special small batch limited edition and seasonal beers moving forward at our Ottawa brewery. Cool, right? It’s been really great to see the growing excitement in Ottawa over the local beer scene these past few years, and we’re really proud that the local guys can help each other out and collaborate in this way.

And the brewing is already underway! We’ve started HogsBack’s latest limited edition release called Aporkalypse Now, an Oatmeal Bacon Stout.  That’s right – you no longer have to fry up bacon to go with your breakfast beer. This delicious brew is combining the two greatest ingredients known to man, and the outcome is as tasty as it sounds.

The beer is only available in draft and in February, so make sure you stay plugged into the Hogsback Facebook Page for all the details. They are also holding a launch party on Friday, February 8th at the Heart & Crown (353-B Preston Street, Ottawa) so you’ll definitely want to make it out to give this beer a shot.
